1 STYLE 3 BUDGETS | BACKYARD ENTERTAINING

If you caught my post the other week, you'll remember that I've been working on getting my backyard in better shape. Part of this process has meant scouring for images on Pinterest and Instagram that spark inspiration.

One of my favorites so far has been @chrislovesjulia's backyard transformation! They are an adorable Idaho family, with killer style, who are constantly sharing their outdoor living space updates on Instagram... and I’ve been eyeing it for quite a while. I love their design so much, because it acts as a cozy + modern extension of their interior living spaces.

They've paid close attention to every detail, from the combination of seating to the overall versatility of the space. I think it's the perfect arrangement for both dining and lounging! There's plenty of weather-safe seating, a hip-modern umbrella to help diffuse some of the sunlight (& heat), and I'm obsessed with the balance of textures and colors. From wood and metal, to black, neutrals, wicker, + greenery—this  design has it all!

While Chris + Julia's completed backyard design probably cost them more than $20k (including the custom deck and D.I.Y. fireplace), I wanted to show you that you can easily recreate this look for less! Here are a few budget-friendly options that won't break the bank.

OPTION 1:
UNDER $1K

1. Sofa  |  2. Accent Chair  |  3. Dining Chairs  |  4. Dining Table  |  5. Umbrella  |  6. Rug  |  7. Pillow  |  8. Plant Stand

For less than 5% of the estimated cost, you could recreate the style + warmth of this cozy backyard patio. That's a pretty good deal, if you ask me!

OPTION 2:
UNDER $2K

I mean, how spot-on is this sofa lounger? It's already a challenge to find nice outdoor sofas not made from plastic "wicker," so I was very pleased at how close this option from Wayfair mimics the starch white and wood seating from Chris + Julia's inspiration image.

OPTION 3:
UNDER $5K

Personally, I think Option #2 gets the closest to recreating this backyard space! And for under $2K, it's a relatively inexpensive overhaul if you're looking for a comfortable + sleek design!

Do you have a favorite out of the three? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
