INTRODUCING LOVE DING 2.0

I'm so excited to share some big news with you guys!  Ever since I closed my sweet little storefront in the Summer of 2016, I have really made an effort to refine my vision for what I want Love Ding to become. One of the main goals was to pursue more interior design related projects, because I wanted a way to exercise my creativity on a daily basis. And, it is what I went to school for after all!

It took a lot of work and patience to figure out how I would fit my design aesthetics into this great big world of ideas. But when realizing the joy I get from helping transform people’s spaces, I knew Home Staging & Interior Styling was a path I wanted to pursue.

As y’all know already, I am obsessed with home goods. I always have been. I love textiles, pillows and trends. I study them, read about them, dream about them — you name it! And while I know exactly what I like, as a Pisces, it also easy for me to see things through the eyes of others, which I like to think helps me better navigate the design process with each client. Making sure that their space feels true to their personality and lifestyle, while maintaining a fresh and modern aesthetic.

One of the first steps after realizing the direction I wanted to go was figuring out how to rebrand Love Ding as an online home goods shop and a home staging & interior styling service. Although I loved my old logo, I knew that this transition would require a new design that was more in line with the aesthetic I aspire to bring into people’s homes. Although this was a fun process, it was admittedly intimidating to think outside of the box and rebrand something I had already invested so much love and energy into — it was my little baby.

So, I enlisted help from Erica with Taiga Press and couldn’t be happier with the results. She provided me with a mood board of images, textures and colors to help me visualize my “new” brand, and after several rounds of logo revisions we found the perfect design! Erica changed the logo from script to a modern typeface, updated the color palette to be more neutral and kept the fun personality with a cute geometric heart.

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen a few sneak peeks of some of the interior styling projects I’ve been working on — “spruces” as I like to call them — but I have been waiting for the perfect time to do a big reveal on the blog! As soon as I got these gorgeous letterpressed business cards in the mail, I knew I couldn’t keep the secret any longer.

So what does this mean for Love Ding? In terms of the online shop, nothing! I will still be curating a shop of adorable vintage home goods in addition to my new line of services (a more detailed post on these, coming soon!). However, this does mean that you can expect to see a lot more DIY’s, design transformations, and fun styling tips from yours truly on the blog. So, stay tuned!

I am so happy with how the new design turned out! I think it looks so clean and modern. What do you think? I’d love to hear from you.

Love, Ding
