One of my favorite design trends right now is raw wood. I think it adds so much warmth to a space, and my home office had been feeling a little bare. So, after seeing a few of my favorite bloggers, Emily Henderson and Studio McGee, featuring unique ways they've incorporated wooden bead garlands into a space, I thought to myself "I could make that!" Shibori dyeing, to me, has always felt a little synonymous with summertime (probably because of all of the tie-dye I used to do as a kid during summer breaks). And while I have several shibori tea towels, and scarves that I've collected over the years, I had never actually dyed any of them myself. This summer I made it my mission to change that!

I was inspired last week by a bouquet I ordered from @sendurbanstems to make this fun DIY floral table runner — perfect for dinner parties, Easter brunch or just as an excuse to get in the mood for spring! With the unseasonably warm weather we've been experiencing in Austin, I decided to style my table runner for an intimate outdoor dinner party. 

You may have seen the Happy Workspace Spruce I did for @ohhhchelsea Iast week, where I mentioned this super cute + super modern DIY. It's the perfect way to showcase your favorite Poloroids or Instax memories! This project requires a few basic woodworking tools, but once you get started you'll have a color-blocked wooden photo holder in less than 20 minutes.

Here's another go at a fun DIY this holiday season! So simple. So timeless. I never want to take this wreath off my door! I got most of the supplies at local craft stores (except for the wood beads I got from Etsy), and the greenery was all from Central Market—I think they've got the best selection in South Austin.

t's ONE week until Thanksgiving—that's just cray! In honor of the celebration, I created a super simple D.I.Y. table runner for my upcoming Friendsgiving dinner! I made it using inexpensive materials and it only took me about five minutes from start-to-finish.
